Canada's largest collection of marine reptile fossils just grew even larger as the
Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre recently celebrated a landmark event, as the one-thousandth
specimen was formally accessioned into the fossil collection.

A major fossil excavation by the Canadian Fossil Discovery
Centre continues in 2011.
In 2010, the Centre served notice that a massive Xiphactinus fish and Mosasaur skeleton
were being unearthed at one of its palaeontological dig sites. The excavation of these
skeletons continues with great success and has lead to a number of other significant fossil
discoveries in 2011!

summer with its most popular and exciting tourism program, the Fossil Dig Adventure Tours. The
program continues to be one of Manitoba’s hottest tourism products!

The Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre’s seventh annual Summer Day Camp is now underway!
The Summer Day Camp is offered in July and August during the weekdays. A blend of half-day and full day programs are offered for kids in the Pembina Valley and beyond. All programs are fun, educational and affordable!

A television segment on the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre is soon set to air on
the Daily Planet program that’s produced by the Discovery Channel. This program is scheduled to air on

Discovery Channel to Visit the CFDC - Again
The Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre is preparing to host a film crew from the
Discovery Channel again, for the 2nd time in less than a year. On Monday, April 18th a Discovery Channel
crew will arrive at the CFDC to film content for an upcoming TV series titled “Reign of the Dinosaurs.”
