For the fourth year, the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre has offered new and exciting summer programs. We believe that it is important for children to be aware of the history of the region we live in. By tapping into the naturall curiosity that children have of the huge creatures of the "dinosaur" period, CFDC is able to educate children regarding specific details of prehistoric life and the scientific methods used in discovering and solving mysteries of the past. The activities and crafts are chosen to make the process interesting and fun for children of all ages.

Dino Day Camp: Enjoy dinosaur related crafts & activities for the morning or afternoon.
Dinosaur T-Shirt Art: Design & create cool dinosaur art on a t-shirt. (T-Shirt supplied by CFDC in sizes youth small & medium)
Dinosaur Hat Art: Design & create cool dinosaur art on a hat. (Hat supplied by CFDC - one size fits all)
Pterodactyl Kite Creation: Make your own cool flying reptile kite.
Volcano Making: Plaster cast and paint a volcano then watch it erupt.
Fossil Impressions Plaque: Create a plaster cast plaque with fossil impressions to hang on your wall.
Chocolate Dinosaur on a Stick: Using a mould, paint your dinosaur with chocolate and fill to set. YUMMY!
Beginners Dinosaur Origami: Learn the ancient art of origami while making cool dinosaur shapes.
Advanced Dinosaur Origami: Challenge yourself with more advanced origami folding to make more cool dinosaur shapes.
Dinosaur Diorama: Create your own 3 dimensional dinosaur land.
3D Dinosaur Papercraft: Color, cut and paste 3D dinosaurs.
